![]() HARD MTN DEW is launching first in Tennessee, Florida and Iowa. For having zero sugar in them, they were all really sweet tasting like a normal Mountain Dew should be. HARD MTN DEW will be sold in 24-ounce single-serve cans and a variety pack consisting of a dozen 12-ounce cans. Overall, I was VERY impressed with the new Hard Mountain Dew drinks. There's always one flavor in a variety pack that just doesn't do it for me, and this time it was the black cherry. MTN DEW lovers of legal drinking age can experience the bold, citrus flavors of the soft drink they know and. That set me at ease, until I tried it and realized that it did in fact taste like cough syrup to me. HARD MTN DEW is a new flavored malt beverage. My husband pointed out that it was probably supposed to mimic the Code Red flavor. My gut reaction was that this would taste like cough syrup. ![]() The drink has a 5 alcohol volume content, no added sugar, and only contains 100 calories per 12oz serving. This flavor I had a full can of, and because it was so sweet, it was a one-and-done situation. PepsiCo and Boston Beer teamed up in 2021 to create Hard Mountain Dew, an alcoholic-flavored malt beverage. It does have a strong artificial watermelon taste, but not so strong that it is undrinkable. I was leery of this one, expecting the artificial watermelon taste to be way too overpowering. As a huge Taco Bell fan, I did have pretty high expectations for that one, and again, the flavor was spot on and you couldn't detect any alcohol. I tried a sip of the Baja Blast flavor next. The wildest part is that you can't taste any alcohol at all, which is kinda dangerous if you ask me. According to a press release, Hard Mtn Dew is a flavored malt beverage that boasts an Alcohol by Volume (ABV) of 5 percent. Basically, all three “new” flavors in this Hard Mtn Dew variety pack have already been road tested.My first taste was of the original, and surprisingly it just tastes like diet Mountain Dew. During recent summer seasons, Mtn Dew released Baja Gold, Baja Mango Gem, and Baja Punch (the others are self explanatory, but, yes, Baja Gold was pineapple flavored). In terms of flavors, it seems like Mtn Dew could be taking cues from past, non-alcoholic Baja Blast lineups. While regular old Mtn Dew Baja Blast is being released in two new flavors this summer, Hard Mtn Dew Baja Blast is getting three: pineapple, mango, and punch. ![]() Variety pack? I thought there was only one Hard Mtn Dew Baja Blast. Set to hit retail shelves in early 2022, the canned, boozy Hard Mtn Dew flavored malt beverages would be 5 percent alcohol by volume and, as initial product imagery indicated, would come in three. Earlier this year, they released a new hard Mtn Dew inspired by Mtn Dew LiveWire, and now, they’re concocting something extra special: a Hard Mtn Dew Baja Blast variety pack. Consumers can look forward to no caffeine, zero added sugar and 100 calories per serving, with each 12-ounce can. Boston Beer Company launched Hard Mountain Dew on Tuesday in those three states with four flavors: original MTN DEW, Baja Blast, Black Cherry and Watermelon. That’s huge, but what if I told you that there’s even more Baja Blast news? (Cause, well, yeah there is…that’s why you’re here…I think?) With so many non-alcoholic beverage brands going alcoholic-I’m talking Sunny D to Simply-it’s no wonder that Mtn Dew has started ramping up their game. The wait is over for Mountain Dew fans in Florida, Tennessee and Iowa. As we previously reported, Mtn Dew is re-releasing Mtn Dew Baja Blast in stores this summer and bringing two new flavors to the party: Mtn Dew Baja Passionfruit Punch and Mtn Dew Baja Caribbean Splash.
